Joi S.Tannert obtained her BFA Degree in Interior Design from East Carolina University. She is a NCIDQ-certified designer and has been active in ASID for many years. She had the honor of serving as the 2002 ASID Carolinas Chapter President. |
Ron Tannert graduated from Kent State
University with a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Arts Education. He began working in the new
construction field in 1978, supervising for other building companies. He also had prior experience in highway construction. Since 1986, they have been working together as husband and wife team in the design and construction business. |
Designer’s Way began as an interior design practice in Raleigh in 1980. In 1985, it was
incorporated and in 1986, it acquired a
contractor’s license and added the construction services. From an interest in solar energy, many of the first homes were built using active and passive solar. Around 1994, the product line was
expanded to include timberframe homes by
Timberpeg. In a move to Wake Forest in 2001, the interior design division took the operating name of Art of Design and later, the building
division became Natural Homes, to better reflect our mission.
We are members of the Local and National Home Builders Associations, Wake Forest
Chamber of Commerce and the American Society of Interior Designers.
